Coupon Stacking 101
**Please note that in no way do I endorse or am endorsed by LONDON DRUGS and this information is subject to change at the discretion of LONDON DRUGS at any time.
Most stores will allow you to use one coupon per each item being purchased. Stacking coupons means that you can use several different coupons on one item. London Drugs is currently the only store in Manitoba that allows coupon stacking. You may have to check out the local store policies or coupon groups in your area to find out whether or not other stores have special days or couponing rules.
You cannot stack coupons together if they read:
Use of more than one manufacturer coupon is prohibited.
Cannot be combined with any other coupon offer.
Cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupon.
You cannot stack on P&G, Finish, Scrubbing Bubbles, or SC Johnson products.
If you have coupons or want to coupon stack take your purchases up to the customer service desk at London Drugs. Because checking out a couponer can be time consuming they reserve the right to take other customers ahead of you and may stop your transaction in the middle to help out other customers who are not purchasing items with coupons.
Try not to go and stack the first day of a new sale – they don’t appreciate it because they are quite busy. Make sure you’re at the checkout with plenty of time before the store closes as sometimes it can be a time consuming process. Have your coupons sorted out before you get to the cash register. Generally as I put each item I want to stack on into my cart I work out the coupons in the store and then put them into a separate envelope. Place each of your coupons or stacks with the items they belong with at the counter. It helps to keep your coupon stacks together with paper clips until you get to the counter – then remove these so that the cashier has an easier time organizing them for processing.
You are only allowed to stack on 2 items that are popular at a time. For example you will only be allowed to buy 2 Dove deodorants at a time, or 2 boxes of Splenda, or 2 cases of Pediasure. If it is not an item that sells out quickly they may allow you to buy more of them with coupon but is up to the discretion of the customer service manager. If you abuse the rules of coupon stacking it will likely become a cancelled program! Do not go multiple times a day to buy the same products. This is breaking the rules. Do not take multiple family members to each get their own limit of items to purchase. (Caravan couponers) This is just a faux pas. Don’t argue with the cashier. Trust and respect are earned.

Stacking trick – the coupon may LOOK the same, but if the barcode is different it counts as a DIFFERENT coupon.
An example of stacking coupons:
Because these coupons have no wording restrictions they can all be used together to purchase one package of pediasure.
1. Make sure that all the coupons are for what you are purchasing.
2. Make sure that there is no restrictive wording on the coupon. See rules above.
3. If you are price matching provide the flyer along with the product and coupons to the cashier.
4. Make sure you are still within the expiry date of all coupons.
5. If your coupons add up higher than the value of the product the cashier will “reduce one of the coupons” so that it covers only the cost of the product. You cannot get overage back at London drugs.
Be patient, everything comes on sale eventually. Keep your eye on the flyers to get the best deals. IF in the flyer you are trying to price match to it reads SELECTED VARIETIES you must be buying the exact brand style scent or flavor of the item that is pictured in the ad.
Be patient and good to your cashier. They very much appreciate any extra coupons if you want to help them get in on a good deal.
